We recognize Mother Earth as the original healer. We recognize our role as stewards of the land we occupy, deferring to the First Nations Native Kanien'kehá:ka knowledge to care of our Mother. We honor the ancestors of Ahkwesáhsne, the land where the partridge drums, and the peoples who belong here through our intentional care of nature.
As stewards of the land, we care for each individual tree, bush, plant, as we would care for ourselves. The birds and the bees too! Care for the earth is community care.
